Jets Sign Tackle Cedric Ogbuehi To Bolster Struggling Offensive Line

After the Bengals were able to sack Joe Flacco four times, forced two fumbles, and battered Flacco with nine hits during the 27-12 victory over Cincinnati on Sunday The Jets were looking for help on the offensive line. They discovered it in a single first-round draft pick.
The Jets (1-2) hired offensive lineman Cedric Ogbuehi to the Texans practice squad on Tuesday, as per Pro Football Network.

Ogbuehi who was the Bengals picked 21st overall from of Texas A&M in 2015, was a four-year resident of Cincinnati prior to stints at teams like the Jaguars, Seahawks, Ravens, Titans, and eventually the Texans which signed him on March 1st, prior to his release in August and then committing him to their practice team.

The Jets offensive line, which was thought to be strong at the beginning of this season has turned out to be terrible through their first three games.


In the opener of the season against the Ravens, The OL permitted 11 quarterback rushes as well as three sacks during the loss of 24-9. The next week, against the Browns and the Browns, the Jets were able to come back and win however Flacco was tackled twice and forced to fumble twice.
