Mike Tomlin: Mitch Trubisky improving in all areas

Steelers Head coach Mike Tomlin was asked if the team was contemplating an upgrade to the quarterback position following the loss on Thursday to the Browns and said “the answer to that question is definitively no.”

Tomlin’s thinking hasn’t changed in the last couple of games. Trubisky is still the best quarterback on the depth chart for the game this week with Jets. Jets and Tomlin stated in his press conference on Tuesday that he’s seen improvements from his quarterback across “all areas” over the first three weeks of the campaign.

Overall, Tomlin said that the offensive has improved with each game and the fact that “there’s reason to think that improvement will continue” throughout Week Four and beyond.

The Steelers are home to their own Bills, Bucs, Dolphins and Eagles scheduled to play after the Jets and Jets, which means that their improvement in their offensive performance could have to happen even faster for them to remain in contention for the playoffs in the second portion in the regular season.
